Studying English at Lakehead was an incredible experience! My English professor was always giving us different activities, so we learned almost without noticing it. Boredom was not included in our vocabulary! Aside from classes, we visited places around the city including the museum. This helped me to learn Canada's history and to interact with Canadians and Indigenous people of the city. I also experienced the most spectacular landscapes I've ever seen!

These past two months have been truly defining for me. I did things I never believed I could do, discovered new places, learned so much, and met incredible people who will always hold a special place in my heart. They gave me courage, helped me grow, and taught me lessons I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

This course helped me strengthen my English skills, while I also had the chance to connect with nature, and the culture that Canada and Thunder Bay had to offer. It is a once in a lifetime experience!

My experience at Lakehead ELC has helped me grow academically and personally. I improved my English skills, met supportive instructors, and make with friends from different cultures. This journey made me feel more confident and prepared for future courses.

My experience at Lakehead ELC during these two months was much more than studying abroad; it was a chapter that I will carry in my heart forever. It was my first time leaving my country, and I feel truly happy and grateful that this adventure began at such a special university like Lakehead. I met wonderful people, not only from Mexico, but also from different parts of the world. Some of them came into my life without knowing everything I was carrying inside, and even so, through their friendship, kindness, and support, they helped heal wounds they did not cause.

I came to Lakehead ELC to improve my English, but this experience gave me much more than language skills. It helped me grow as a person, become more confident, step outside my comfort zone, and build meaningful friendships with people from different cultures. The memories, lessons, and connections I made in Thunder Bay will always have a special place in my heart.
