The 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings have once again placed Lakehead University in the top 100 again this year, ranking 90th overall among 2,318 participating institutions worldwide, while maintaining its status as the top-ranked university with under 10,000 students in Canada and North America.
This ranking reflects key operational initiatives, curricular programming and research projects that focus on addressing sustainability and inequality.
Lakehead is a world leader in:
- 2nd in Canada and 23rd in the World for SDG 1: No Poverty
- 5th in Canada and 26th in the World for SDG 14: Life Below Water
The 2025 THE Impact Rankings evaluated 2,318 post-secondary institutions from over 130 countries including 24 Canadian universities.
