More than English, this journey taught me to see the world with new eyes and an open heart; the friendships I made and the experiences I lived are shaping me into the person and the teacher I aspire to be

Being at the ELC is the dream I fought for years to achieve. This experience has changed me forever, every class, every smile, every challenge has been a step toward becoming who I always wanted to be. I’m deeply thankful to Lakehead University and my country for giving me this unforgettable opportunity. The ELC will always stay in my heart, along with all the amazing people I met here.

Besides the huge popularity that LU has, what got our experience to a whole different level was the attention and the importance given to every single international/national student. They made us feel not only part of the University but part of Canada, with all the trips and activities planned, they just made us live the complete experience. Video games, activities in the international lounge, celebrations of different nationalities, support with the English level, the motivation received, and the coexistence with people from different parts of the world, are just some of the magnificent things we did. I am truly proud to say I was part of one of the most supportive universities.
