AEP is the first course I have studied in Canada. Honestly, I hadn't spoken English for 16 years until 2024, when I started learning English again. Today, I’m proud of myself because of my hard work and positive attitude throughout this journey. I know that my journey in Canada is still long, and I will have to overcome many challenges in the future. However, I will never stop learning, practicing, and improving my English skills. I truly want to become a better version of myself. Thank you to everyone for your support on this special day.

I have really enjoyed these two months.

My classmates from the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico have been such a wonderful influence on me. Thanks to them, I have become more confident, outgoing and improved my overall performance.

I’ve also made lovely friends from other countries, such as Japan and Colombia, but my closest and most inspiring connections are with my Yucatecan classmates. They all encourage me to stay positive about my graduate studies and daily life, and I have learned so much from them.

I am also grateful to my teachers, who are patient and kind. I loved the activities organised by the International Student Centre. These two months have been incredibly meaningful, and they mark one of the most important turning points in my life.

My experience at Lakehead ELC this semester has been very valuable and rewarding. I improved my academic English skills, especially in reading, writing, and understanding academic materials. This program helped me become more confident and better prepared for my future graduate studies at Lakehead University.
