English Language Requirements

International students must meet the Proficiency in the English Language requirements.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies has decided to temporarily accept the Duolingo English Test (DET) as an alternate test to the IELTS and TOEFL tests which have presently been cancelled for months in many affected markets.

The DET is now being widely accepted across institutions in Canada given its reliability and flexibility for students to access the test even while socially distanced, ease to book without lengthy testing wait times, and fast delivery of results.
