Lakehead University offers a number of programs within the Faculty of Health & Behavioural Sciences for you to explore based on your interests and career aspirations in the field of health sciences. Learn how you can shape the future of human health and well-being through Lakehead's Faculty of Health & Behavioural Sciences, which features programs in: Nursing, Kinesiology, Psychology, Gerontology, and Social Work.
Our hands-on approach to learning will allow you to gain practical experience in our simulation labs, clinical skills practice labs, field work, clinical placements and co-op placements to complement your theoretical learning and research. From working with children in schools as a Kinesiology student to providing care as a Nursing student in a third world country, at Lakehead we embrace you putting theory into practice.
Strong partnerships with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, located a stone's throw from our Thunder Bay campus, and other health-related community partners ensures you are exposed to the health care setting during your studies. As a research-driven faculty, professors and students closely interact to provide educational programming to meet the constantly changing demands of the Canadian health care sector.
