General Admission Requirements

  • IB Diploma with a total score of 28* in six subjects, three of which must be at the Higher Level (HL) with no score less than 4 in any subject
  • Program-Specific Prerequisite courses 

*Higher scores may be required for admission to programs in which the demand for places by qualified applicants exceeds the supply of available spaces.

Transfer Credit Eligibility

Applicants presenting the IB Diploma may be considered for advanced standing credit/transfer credit in some Higher Level (HL) subjects provided a score of 5 or better has been attained in the higher level subject. Advanced standing credits may be used towards meeting your Lakehead program requirements. 

Please note: Engineering programs are not eligible for IB transfer credit consideration.
