All completed forms may be returned to the SES PhD Program office, CB4047, emailed to or via interoffice mail to: SES PhD Programs, CB4008.

Due dates for current students:

Composition of Supervisory Committee and Approval of Required Courses - due at the end of the Term 1

Composition of Comprehensive Exam Committee - due at the end of the Term 2

Scope of Comprehensive Exam (signed form and list of materials) - due at the end of Term 2

Approval of Dissertation Proposal -  due at the end of Term 3

Comprehensive Exam Results -  due at the end of Term 3

Final Dissertation Process

1. Apply to Graduate 

2. Propose External Examiner to FGS 

3. Dissertation Draft Internal Review by Supervisory Committee Members (up to 4 weeks)

4. Complete draft revisions based on Internal Review Comments

5. Submit Revised Dissertation to the Chemistry and Materials Science Coordinator

6. Revised Dissertation sent to External Examiner for Review (up to 4 weeks)

7. Oral Defense

8. Submit Final Dissertation and Forms to FGS
