Alliance International Collaboration Quantum Grants

NATO Defense College (NDC) Fellowship

How to Apply: 

Mobilizing Insights in Defence and Security (MINDS) has partnered with the NATO Defense College (NDC), located in Rome, Italy, to offer members of the Canadian defence and security expert community an opportunity to conduct a five-month fellowship, from February to July each year, at the College as part of the NDC Research Division. The selected fellow will receive a $100,000 grant to cover all expenses related to this opportunity.

Partnership for Clean Competition

Knowledge Translation and Exchange Accelerator Grants

How to Apply: 

Brain Canada and the Alzheimer Society of Canada are pleased to announce the launch of the Knowledge Translation and Exchange (KTE) Accelerator Grants! The purpose of the KTE Accelerator Grants program is to help accelerate the dissemination of scientific findings on Alzheimer’s and related dementias to various audiences beyond academic researchers. 

KTE Accelerator Grants are designed to stimulate innovative, out-of-the-box, ideas that ensure research translates into implementation and eventually impact. These grants provide researchers with the funding needed to develop KTE products relevant to their work in the field of Alzheimer’s and related dementias. 

Up to $200,000 CAD is available for up to three years. Total grant amounts are flexible to accommodate the needs required to produce a range of KTE products, but the minimum budget allowed is $5,000 CAD and the total budget cannot surpass $200,000 CAD. 

Who can apply? 

  • Current and past Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) grant and award recipients 
  • Current and past recipients of a Brain Canada funded grant focused on Alzheimer’s and related dementias research 
  • Current research leads of the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA)

Cryo-CLEM Labels RFA

How to Apply: 
The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) seeks to support one-year projects in the field of cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy (cryo-CLEM) labels. To gain a deeper mechanistic understanding of biological systems, CZI’s Imaging program aims to visualize and measure them across biological scales and in their biological context. This Request for Applications (RFA) seeks to drive development of complete, general-purpose, intracellular imaging probes for cryo-CLEM. This grant program will advance the utility of cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) of cells by providing information on specific aspects of cell function.
