Library

The Chancellor Paterson Library is the main library for Lakehead University, situated on the Thunder Bay campus. The Services Desk on the main floor near the entrance/exit is your source for obtaining your I.D. Card, borrowing materials, adding print credits to your account, etc., and any inquiries you may have.

Student Central is a resource for prospective and current students with information on enrolling at Lakehead, course registration, financial support, and much more.

The Student Success Centre provides support services to help Lakehead students to achieve academic success. Visit Student Success and the Academic Support Zone to learn more about tutoring, workshops, and more.

The Lakehead University Student Union (LUSU) is a student driven organization that provides service, support, and advocacy to Lakehead students.  Their website provides information on the Health and Dental Plan, student life, clubs, and other ways to get involved, including the Lakehead University Nursing Association (LUNA).

Lakehead University Nursing Association - LUNA -  is a student-run organization dedicated to creating and promoting relationships between all nursing students at Lakehead University. LUNA serves to represent the nursing student body as a whole by acting as a liaison between students, faculty and other organizations associated with nursing. LUNA organizes and coordinate activities for the nursing student body. LUNA address and acts upon matters affecting the best interests of Lakehead University Nursing Students. LUNA is by the students, for the students.

The Indigenous Student Services Centre offers a culturally supportive space for all Indigenous students.  Services include academic, cultural, mentorship, and career resources.

The Lakehead International Student Centre provides a comfortable International Student Lounge, International student orientation, with a peer mentor program, workshops, events, and many more services.

Lakehead University Student Accessibility Services coordinates and facilitates support for students with temporary or permanent disabilities or medical conditions.  

Pride Central provides a safe space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirited, queer, intersex, and allies (LGBTTQIA) students.  It is open to all Lakehead University students (and community) with a focus on ending discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. 

LUSU Food Resource Centre  provides access to emergency food resources on campus in a welcoming environment for students.  The centre also provides educational workshops, information about food programs, and volunteer opportunities in community building. 

Student Health and Wellness provides a range of counselling options, health services, and wellness programs so that you can get the most out of your Lakehead Experience.
