(OR) Crochet with Kim @HP

Crochet with Kim is back! Join Kim in the Education Library and learn how to crochet a coaster. No experience is necessary, yarn and hooks will be provided. 

All fibre arts are welcome, so please feel free to bring your own projects and hang out and chat.

Come and enjoy some quality time with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs. ? ? ?

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, need a break from studying, or simply love dogs, this visit is a perfect opportunity to press paws with some furry friends!

Take a daily movement break at one of our movement stations!
There is one station for every day of the week. 

  • Station 1: Fitness room (in residence)
  • Station 2: Down the promenade toward the driveway
  • Station 3: Equipment Locker (in residence)  
  • Station 4: Multi-sport surface
  • Station 5: Top of stairs in OA

Woodland Painting

Join the Indigenous Student Resource Centre for Thrive Week on January 27, 2026, from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at The Outpost for a Woodland Print Paint Session featuring a special Thrive Week design by Lakehead University Indigenous artist Natasha Broadbent.

Take a break from the stress of school, get creative, and spend time in the community while you paint your own piece to take home, no experience needed. All materials and the Thrive Week print will be provided.

Pastries and Pilates with Shae-lynn

Join the Indigenous Student Resource Centre and the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre for Thrive Week on January 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at The Outpost.
 
All Lakehead University students are welcome to enjoy a free pilates session led by Shae-Lynne Willianen (TBIFC), followed by a free breakfast bar to fuel your mind and body. Come move, connect, and start your day feeling refreshed!

Coffee Break @ Lakehead Law

Take a quick break and swing by The Sidebar for free coffee, Thrive Kits, and a few low-key activities to help you reset between classes. Student Health and Wellness will be on hand, but this is mostly about grabbing a coffee, taking a breather, and getting back to your day feeling a little more refreshed.

Fidget Friday

Wrap up Thrive Week with the SSC team! Drop by for Fidget Friday to make your own slime or balloon stress ball, perfect for keeping your hands busy while you study or relax. We’ll also have games on the TV, so whether you want to craft, play, or just hang out, there’s something for everyone.
