Spotting the Signs and Supporting Someone Affected by Eating Disorders

As part of Eating Disorders Awareness Week, join us for a 90-minute training delivered by NEDIC (National Eating Disorder Information Centre). This session is designed to help participants understand how eating disorders can develop in post-secondary environments, recognize early signs, respond compassionately, and connect someone to the appropriate supports.

Learning Objectives:

No Nic Challenge

As part of National Non-Smoking Week, Lakehead University is partnering with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to host a No Nic Challenge for the Lakehead community.

This five-day challenge runs Monday to Friday and encourages participants to avoid smoking, vaping, and other tobacco or nicotine products. Whether you are working toward quitting, cutting back, or choosing not to start, the challenge offers a short, supportive opportunity to reflect on habits and try something different for the week.

Happening every Thursday from 9am - 11am, drop by to make your own breakfast, learn some low-cost and nutritious breakfast recipes and cost-saving strategies, and connect with peers. We will occasionally have special guests present to share information about timely topics.
