Coffee Break @ Lakehead Law
Take a quick break and swing by The Sidebar for free coffee, Thrive Kits, and a few low-key activities to help you reset between classes. Student Health and Wellness will be on hand, but this is mostly about grabbing a coffee, taking a breather, and getting back to your day feeling a little more refreshed.

Fidget Friday
Wrap up Thrive Week with the SSC team! Drop by for Fidget Friday to make your own slime or balloon stress ball, perfect for keeping your hands busy while you study or relax. We’ll also have games on the TV, so whether you want to craft, play, or just hang out, there’s something for everyone.

Drag Storytime
Chancellor Paterson Library in collaboration with Pride GEC will be hosting a Drag Queen Story Time with Mz Molly Poppinz and Lady Fantasia LaPremiere! They will be offering an hour of stories and time for Q & A after.
Climate Emotions Circle
Climate anxiety is a normal response to a world on fire. The trick is not to stay alone with it. Join Jennifer Chesnut, Lakehead PhD student and Rachel Portinga & Carolina Camacho from Lakehead’s Sustainability Office, for an introductory climate emotions workshop. Alongside information and support resources, there will be opportunities to talk about climate feelings using a group process called the Work That Reconnects.
THRIVE WEEK: Winter Walk
Join Sara to take some time for YOU and connect with nature! On this Winter Walk you will learn how the nature surrounding our campus can bring you peace, joy, and mindfulness during this busy time of year. Dress for the weather to explore our campus trails!
Spin and Share
As part of Thrive Week, take a turn at the wheel and dive into fun, thought-provoking questions about mental health. Facilitators from NorWest CHC will guide conversations and share information about local resources, programs, and upcoming activities.
Participants will receive a piece of fruit as a small thank-you for joining the conversation.

Good Vibes DJ-Pub Therapy
Take a break and unwind with Good Vibes DJ at Pub Therapy in the Outpost. Chill out to feel-good tracks, soak in a relaxed atmosphere, and connect with fellow students in a low-pressure, welcoming space.

Yoga with Modo Yoga
Take a break and join Modo Yoga Thunder Bay for a free yoga class for students, offered in partnership with Student Health and Wellness. This class is a great chance to move your body and unwind.

Chopped U: Soup and Grilled Cheese
Join LUSU’s Food Resource Centre for a hands-on Chopped U cooking class where we’ll be making classic comfort food, soup and grilled cheese. Learn a few practical cooking tips, enjoy what you make, and pick up ideas you can actually use at home.
Student Health and Wellness Health Promoter, Lindsey Wachter (R.Kin), will be on hand to chat about how food connects to wellbeing, energy, and everyday student life.
