Fieldschool 2005
In August 2005 students from the Geology Department undertook a two-week fieldschool in Northern Ontario and Minnesota. As well as mapping 2.7 billion year old Archean rocks in the Beardmore area we also visited 1 billion year old rocks of the Mid Continent Rift that are exposed on islands in Lake Superior. The following photos show some of the highlights.
