Lakehead Advantage

Our location in Northwestern Ontario, proximal to many Northern communities and populations, makes Lakehead University one of the best institutions to pursue Northern Studies. We maintain strong ties to organizations, businesses and individuals dedicated to improving issues particular to the North. This creates opportunities for unique course content, involvement in research projects, and access to professional positions in the field.

Our Department is small, diverse and conducive to interaction with both your peers and professors. We encourage you to take advantage of the friendly, personal learning environment and reach out to Faculty for course help as well as potential job and/or mentorship opportunities.
