Lakehead Orillia hosting Homecoming celebration this weekend

Tuesday, October 24, 2017 – Orillia, ON

It’s the biggest weekend of the year at Lakehead University and everyone is invited. The University’s annual Homecoming celebration takes place on Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28, with festivities happening both on campus and off.

“Homecoming draws many alumni back to campus to reconnect and reminisce about their time at Lakehead,” said Dr. Michel Beaulieu, President of the Alumni Association of Lakehead University. “We’re proud to welcome alumni, their families, and the broader communities to campus to take in our events and activities.”

The weekend kicks off on Friday night with a self-guided tour of downtown Orillia, where alumni and friends can enjoy the flavours of exceptional local restaurants.

On Saturday, enjoy a Pancake Breakfast at ODAS Park Fairgrounds in support of the Annual Fund, while mingling with alumni, current students, faculty, and community members.  In the evening, join us at York University to cheer on our Thunderwolves men’s and women’s basketball teams as they take on the York Lions.

A full list of Homecoming weekend events can be found at lakeheadu.ca/homecoming. Registration is required.
