Lakehead University, Thunder Bay Campus, invites applications for a Contract Lecturer in the Department of Biology. Applications are requested to teach:
Biology 2011 FA – Human Musculoskeletal Anatomy
Anatomical systems/topics covered are the integumentary, muscular, and skeletal systems as well as arthrology. Laboratory work includes the study of the cat as a representative animal.
Start Date/Duration: September 8, 2026 – December 8, 2026
Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 – 7:00pm
Tuesday – 7:00 – 10:00pm Lab
Wednesday – 7:00 – 10:00pm Lab

Biology 2012 WA – Human Internal Anatomy
Anatomical systems covered are nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, reproductive, urinary and endocrine. Laboratory work includes the study of the cat as a representative animal.
Start Date/Duration: January 4, 2027 – April 6, 2027
Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30 – 7:00pm
Tuesday – 7:00 – 10:00pm Lab
Wednesday – 7:00 – 10:00pm Lab

Qualifications Preferred: Ph.D. preferred and experience in teaching
Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.
Compensation
In accordance with Collective Agreement provisions, Contract Lecturers shall be remunerated at one of the three following levels:
Level 1: $8,355 (per HCE)
Level 2: $8,590 (per HCE)
Level 3: $9,059 (per HCE)
