The Printmaking area offers an excellent facility to learn various methods for creating images. Courses survey the technical and aesthetic aspects of traditional techniques along with a series of new processes available through digital imaging. The curriculum is project based, offering an in depth study of print methods such as intaglio, relief printing, waterless lithography, and silk-screening. The advanced level classes encourage experimentation and include the use of photo and mixed media. Throughout the course of study, students develop a personal style and learn to work at a high level of proficiency, producing professional quality prints. The studio is equipped with three printing presses, an etching room, a dark room and a computer work station.
