Lakehead University piano students Micah Pawluk and Justin Sillman were first place winners in the advanced category of the 2012 Crescendo International Music Competition. The auditions took place at the University of Montreal in December 2012.   This  competition holds annually auditions   throughout  USA, Canada, Germany, Austria, China and Russia. Micah and Justin will perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City in the winners recital on January 26, 2013.  This is the second time in three years Lakehead music students have excelled at the Crescendo International Music Competition.

Justin Sillman and Micah Pawluk are  piano students of Dr. Evgueni Tchougounov.
