Being smart with your money as student is important! One of the ways to save money while you are studying is knowing the best stores to shop at for sales, which brands are better priced or budget-friendly, and what's the easiest way to find sales in Thunder Bay.

Whether it is your first time shopping for yourself or your first time shopping for groceries or clothing in Canada, Student Engagement & Cultural Coordinator, Krista McAllister will go through helpful tips and tricks for you to use while you shop to help you become a smart shopper and save money. She will also help connect you with our Budgeting and financial planning experts on-campus!

Let's Talk: Thunder Bay Transit

Most new International Students joining us will be using transit to get around Thunder Bay. Join Student Engagement & Cultural Coordinator, Krista McAllister (a fellow transit user), in the International Student Lounge to learn more about how to use Thunder Bay Transit and some tips and tricks to make your transit experience the best it can be!

Join us to learn about the opportunities to study French at Lakehead University, including courses for both beginners and advanced learners. The session also highlights how learning French can help students develop language skills and expand academic and career opportunities in Canada.
