Registration and Call for Abstracts Now Open for 2026 Northern Interprofessional Collaborative in Education (NICE) Conference
The Northern Interprofessional Collaborative in Education (NICE) conference community invites regional partners, students, clinicians, and leaders to enhance and advance interprofessional approaches to health learning, practice, and research in northern Ontario by attending the annual NICE Conference.
Officially in its third year, but in existence for much longer, this is a free virtual event occurring Thursday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is co-hosted by academic partners across northern Ontario including the School of Nursing at Lakehead University. Feel free to register and drop-in for all, or part of the day.
The conference theme is: Interprofessional Education: Rural, Northern, and Remote Realities
This years event features a keynote address by Dr. Sarah Sbrega (Pediatrician • Interprofessional leader • Northern Ontario advocate) entitled "The Space Between Us: What Interprofessionalism Asks of Us".
The call for abstracts is now open and accepting for e-posters, 10-minute oral presentations, and panel discussions. We welcome abstracts related to student experiences; curriculum delivery, design, and/or assessment; Clinician/faculty/administrative engagement and continuing education; Knowledge transfer/impact (patients/clients, community members, student experience); Applications of technology; Knowledge translation from education to collaborative practice; Experiential learning (simulation, standardized patients, reflective practice, debriefing, gaming)
