FSAE Team Unveils 2010 Formula SAE® Car

Thunder Wolf Racing, the Lakehead University Formula SAE® team, is pleased to announce that this year's Formula SAE® car has more sophisticated engineering, with emphasis on weight reduction and improved handling.

The team unveils this year's car at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7, in UC 1017. Please note that the new car is not yet painted and will not yet display sponsor decals.

Both the new car and last year's car will be on display, and technical and business presentations will be given. Attendees can learn about various facets of the car, ranging from driver controls to the cooling system.

An additional event is tentatively scheduled to take place in the Field House parking lot at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, at which time sponsors and interested parties can see the new car in action " painted and sporting sponsorship decals.

The 2010 Formula SAE® international competition takes place at the Michigan International Speedway from May 12 - 15. Lakehead's team will compete alongside 119 other registered teams from Canada, the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia.

At last year's competition, Lakehead's team ranked 2nd in Ontario, 6th nationally, 43rd internationally, and received the Rookie of the Year award. This year, Lakehead aims to secure a spot among the top 25.
