Lakehead U Looking for Memorabilia and Photos

(Thunder Bay - May 2, 2005) It's been 40 years since Lakehead became a university. During that time there have been countless memorabilia such as yearbooks, shirts, jackets, caps, and pins, as well as thousands upon thousands of photos taken.

The Lakehead U 40th Anniversary Historical Committee is looking for memorabilia items and photos to display throughout the year in celebration of the University's 40th anniversary. Items/photos will be displayed in secure display cases on campus and around the city. A photo gallery of memorabilia will also be available on the 40th Anniversary website at www.lakeheadualumni.ca/40years Items and photos from all decades of the University's history are needed to show the development of the University, and bring back memories to alumni and their friends and families viewing the items. Memorabilia from Lakehead Technical Institute and Lakehead College are also welcomed.

Memorabilia items and photos can be dropped off at the Office of Alumni Relations at Lakehead University, which is located in the Avila building on Reaume St. Photos may be emailed to 40years@lakeheadu.ca, or mailed to:

When submitting items/photos, please include your name and contact information. Please note that by submitting your items/photos you consent to their use and/or publication by the University. All items/photos will be returned upon completion of the 40th Anniversary in December 2005.
