Program Information Day Will See Over 375 High School Students on Campus

(Thunder Bay) Lakehead University is gearing up to welcome over 375 Grade 12 students from Thunder Bay and the region on campus for Program Information Day 2004 on Friday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. One lucky student will win his/her first year of tuition at Lakehead.

"This exciting day of discovery gives students the opportunity to explore the wide variety of educational opportunities available at Lakehead," says Robert Perrier, Senior Recruitment Officer at the University. "Visiting students will start their day off by attending an information fair in the Agora, where more than 35 academic departments will be on hand with interactive and informative displays which promise to enlighten students to the possibilities that exist in their own backyard."

When: Friday, December 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The schedule is:
10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Information Fair, Agora
11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Lunch, Ryan Building. Room 1042
12 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. Individual Presentations #1, Various Locations
1 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. Individual Presentations #2, Various Locations
1:55 p.m. - 2:10 p.m. Closing Event, Ryan Building, Room 1042

The winner of the first year tuition at Lakehead will be announced at 2:00 p.m.

Students will have the opportunity to attend specialized individual presentations focusing on a particular academic area. Students will meet with professors and have their questions answered about studying at Lakehead.
