(OR) Naloxone Training

Student Health and Wellness have partnered with Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit to offer Naloxone training to Lakehead students. Participants will learn about the symptoms of opioid overdose and when and how to use naloxone.

There is no cost for the training but registration is required and spaces are limited. Each participant will receive a naloxone kit.

Kick off the new semester with a fresh start! Drop by our WellU Wednesday where we’ll explore ways to reset your substance use habits and focus on building healthier routines. Learn about the benefits of reducing your alcohol intake and get tips and resources to help you take charge of your well-being in the new year. Whether you're cutting back, going alcohol-free, or just curious, this is your opportunity to start strong and make positive changes.

Dream big and start the semester with intention! Join Student Health and Wellness for a fun and creative Vision Boarding Workshop. This event is all about visualizing your goals and setting the tone for a successful semester ahead.

Supplies will be provided to help you design your vision board and bring your aspirations to life.

(OR) SHW Faculty Open House

Student Health and Wellness invites instructors and faculty to visit the Wellness Centre to discuss mental health at Lakehead. Check out the Wellness Centre to learn about what supports and services are available to students and what resources can be incorporated into your practice and classroom to support student well-being.

Open to faculty and staff.

Find wolfie hiding around campus throughout the week, and bring him back to security to claim your prize! Wolfie will be hiding around Heritage Place, and 500 University Ave.

Take a daily movement break at one of our movement stations!
There is one station for every day of the week. 

  • Station 1: Fitness room (in residence)
  • Station 2: Down the promenade toward the driveway
  • Station 3: Equipment Locker (in residence)  
  • Station 4: Multi-sport surface
  • Station 5: Top of stairs in OA

Scan the QR code at each movement station for a chance to win a yoga mat! (One prize draw entry per station)

Come and enjoy some quality time with the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dogs. ? ? ?

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, need a break from studying, or simply love dogs, this visit is a perfect opportunity to press paws with some furry friends!
