As part of National Non-Smoking Week, Lakehead students, staff, and faculty are invited to stop by to learn more about the No Nic Challenge, connect with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and the Expand Project, and explore resources related to smoking, vaping, and other nicotine products.
The Guided Listening and Sharing Circle Series offers a supportive, peer-based space for Lakehead students to connect, reflect, and learn from one another. While designed as peer support sessions, each circle is guided by facilitator Mohit Dudeja (PhD Candidate, M.Psych, M.Ed, BSW) to encourage meaningful dialogue, resource sharing, and personal growth. Sessions explore key topics identified through the 2024 student survey, including academic pressure, financial management, cultural adjustment, relationships, and time management.

Visit the Lakehead Fresh Market and stock up on fresh produce right on campus! The market is cashless and open to everyone in the Lakehead community, so remember to bring your own bag. Students experiencing food insecurity can also pick up discount coupons from the LUSU Food Resource Centre (UC2014b) to use at the market on Tuesday or Wednesday morning.
Take a break from your day and drop in for Take10: Winter Wellness & Mitten Making with Student Health and Wellness Peer Wellness Educators. Get creative by making your own cozy mittens using upcycled materials, while chatting about ways to get through the winter months.
Find Wolfie hiding around campus throughout the week, and bring him back to security to claim your prize! Wolfie will be hiding around Heritage Place and 500 University Avenue.
Open to students only.
Drop by Heritage Place to enjoy some pizza and help pack meal kits! Food donations have been collected all month long and are ready to be packed into meal kits for students.
Once packed, the meal kits will be available for any student to pick up for free.
This event is open to students, staff, and faculty.
