ABOUT THE WRITER (LinkedIn):

Anik Islam earned his bachelor’s and master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. He discovered his passion and talent for proposal writing and research facilitation in graduate school.

From 2013 to 2017, Anik held multiple contracts with the Emerging Radio Systems Group at the University of Waterloo, where he wrote several research proposals to Canadian government and industry, securing over $1.3M in competitive funding.

His other responsibilities included planning and managing research projects (including a $2.4M Ontario Research Fund), communicating with government and industry sponsors, and monitoring the group’s finances.
