Digital library resources

The law library is working to compile a vast digital resource, to be at the edge of legal research.

The current digital resources include the list below, but more collections are being added as we continue to grow.

HeinOnline Primary and secondary sources in law in fully searchable, image based format. Includes over 1600 law journals. All of the Lakehead University community
CALI (Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction) Large online lesson catalogue on law topics written by professors. Law patrons only - you will need to register first and will receive a code in order to register
LexisNexis Academic News, Business, and legal databases from across the globe. All of the Lakehead University community

Lexis Quicklaw Advanced LexisNexis upgraded legal database for Canada with comprehensive primary and secondary sources. Law patrons only - students will be given an access code
WestlawNext Largest legal database in the world, exhaustive primary and secondary sources in law and business. Law patrons only - students will be given an access code

Many of the database links are IP authenticated if you are logged into the Lakehead University system.

Law students will need to register for Quicklaw at the PACI campus, as registration will be IP authenticated.
