Cybersecurity Fintech Innovation Pilot Program (CFIPP)
How to Apply:
The Cybersecurity Fintech Innovation Pilot Program (CFIPP) is a one-year, $7.8-million initiative funded by the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science (MRIS) and delivered by OCE in collaboration with the Toronto Financial Services Alliance (TFSA).
The program will accelerate the growth of cybersecurity start-up/scale-up companies (small- and medium-sized enterprises, or SMEs, with less than 500 employees) in Ontario by partnering with financial institutions (FIs) seeking innovative solutions to cybersecurity challenges, and by providing them with high-quality cybersecurity talent from Ontario's publicly-funded colleges and universities.
CFIPP has two streams. Stream 1 consists of Technology Development and Demonstration Projects, while Stream 2 focuses on Talent Development.
Partnering Forum
In order to facilitate potential partnerships between start-ups/scale-ups and FIs, OCE will host a partnering forum on September 28 to bring together potential collaborators for Technology Development and Demonstration projects. Details on how to register for the partnering forum will be sent in a follow-up communication.
Driving Growth
By accelerating the growth of cybersecurity start-ups and scale-ups, CFIPP will catalyze the early adoption of innovative technologies, engage the Ontario innovation ecosystem in demonstrating innovative products and services that drive economic growth and identify, attract and retain Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP) with skills in cybersecurity for the province's robust finance sector.
