Catalyst Grant: Chief Public Health Officer (CPHO) Report

The specific objectives of this funding opportunity are:

• To enhance the application of health promotion approaches to public health emergency preparedness and response in Canada by supporting research aligned with the research opportunities identified in the CPHO's Generating Knowledge for a Health Promotion Approach document.
• To foster links between health promotion and emergency management researchers, knowledge users and decision-makers to strengthen the capacity for public health systems in Canada to prepare for and respond to public health emergencies.
• To strengthen research excellence and ensure maximum impact through consideration of equity, diversity and inclusion and Indigenous Rights, where applicable, in study populations, research and knowledge mobilization approaches, research teams and knowledge users.
