Workplace Mental Health Studentships 2024
Our partners at Mental Health Research Canada (MHRC) have launched a new open innovation call focused on workplace mental health! This initiative offsets 100% of the required partner contribution for projects through funding from MHRC. New for this round two streams of funding:
- Studentships (1 Accelerate IU- $15,000- for current students enrolled in a Masters, College or PhD program in psychology or related field)

- Fellowships (1 year of Elevate Funding- $60,000- for Post Doctoral Fellows with a background in psychology or related field)

To be eligible for this opportunity students must outline a research project focused on workplace mental health and have support from an academic advisor and a community service provider organization.
Deadline to Apply: January 31, 2024
This is a two-step process:
Step 1:
- Students/ Fellows prepare their application for MHRC (instructions in web guidelines)
- Application submitted to MHRC by January 31, 2024
- MHRC reviews applications and determines which projects they will fund
Step 2:
- Successful applicants are invited to submit a full proposal to the Mitacs Accelerate or Elevate program
- Projects begin in June 2024
