About the Event

This event will include a panel and information booths where you can learn the basics of solar panels, explore financing options, hear from local residents who have installed solar, and speak with service providers to learn more about installing solar technology in your home.  The event is co-hosted and co-sponsored by the Lakehead University Office of Sustainability and the City of Thunder Bay. No RSVP required. Light Refreshments provided.

About the Event

The Rita Nicholas Undergraduate Research Conference is an annual event that features poster and oral presentations from undergraduate students in all Faculties during Research and Innovation Week. The Rita Nicholas Undergraduate Research Conference is a peer-judged event that offers undergraduate students in all disciplines a venue to showcase their work and engage with their peers’ work. The poster presentation portion of the event will take place in the Agora from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, while the oral presentations will take place in the Senate Chambers (the schedule for the oral presentations will be determined after all applications are received, however the oral presentations can be scheduled between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM). The highest-voted students in each Faculty in both the oral and poster categories will be invited to discuss their research during a casual lunch with University President Dr. Gillian Siddall.

Webinar: Leveraging Mitacs Programs for Horizon Europe collaboration *DATE CHANGE

 Mitacs will host two webinars (English, French) showcasing how its flagship programs – particularly Accelerate and the Globalink Research Award – can be used to build and strengthen European research and innovation collaborations, with a focus on Horizon Europe. Each one hour session will highlight where and how Mitacs programs can be integrated into Horizon Europe consortia and projects, either as standalone mechanisms or in complement to the International Mobility Award (IMA).

About the Event

This guided tour and community café highlights collaborative partnerships between the City of Thunder Bay and Lakehead University supporting the renewal of the Centennial Botanical Conservatory. Staff, faculty, and students share stories of collaboration that bring learning to life, strengthen community connections, and help shape a vibrant, shared civic space.  This event is being hosted by Lakehead University's Faculty of Business Administration and the City of Thunder Bay.

The National Killam Program Office invites you to a virtual information session on the National Killam Program on March 12 from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. EST (English) and March 19 from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m. EST (French).

The National Killam Program consists of the Killam Prizes, the Dorothy Killam Fellowships, and the Killam NRC Paul Corkum Fellowships.

The sessions will provide an overview of the National Killam Program, general advice on developing strong submission packages, and information on program changes for the upcoming cycle, including updated guidelines for Killam Prize submissions.
