Dr. Morrow teaches a broad spectrum of courses related to: Exercise, Health, Sport, and the Body in Western Culture; Sport Literature; Integrative Health; Sport History; and Health Promotion. He is also a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. 

Dr. Jennifer Irwin

Associate Professor

School of Health Studies, Faculty of Health Sciences

Western University

An award winning teacher and widely published researcher, Dr. Irwin is also a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation. Her research focuses primarily on obesity prevention and treatment.


Drs. Morrow and Irwin will share their expertise in the areas of motivational interviewing (MI) and health coaching. Learn how to harness engagement and facilitate commitment to change among your students while adding a repertoire of motivational skills to your professional toolbox.  

Lakehead strives to nurture scholarship while providing a learner-centred student experience. This one-day seminar will focus on empowering researchers and students using MI principles in a facilitative manner. Interdisciplinary FHBS faculty and staff will achieve a number of specific objectives, which will translate into a number of long-term personal and professional benefits.
