KINE 1110 FA with Labs – Foundations in Kinesiology
A foundational course which provides an overview of science and practice within the multidisciplinary field of Kinesiology. Interactive laboratory experiences offer students hands-on learning opportunities and an introduction to the standards of practice and communication within the field.
Start Date/Duration: Fall Session: September 8, 2026 to December 8, 2026

KINE 2079 WA – Sociology of Sport and Physical Activity I
An examination of contemporary issues pertaining to sport and physical activity with a Canadian emphasis. Introductory topics include a differentiation of play, games and sport, socialization into, through and out of sport, relevant sociological theories of sport and an historical perspective on sport and physical culture. Emphasis is placed upon the complex relationships between sport and physical activity and various forms of social differentiation including: class, race, gender and education.

KINE 4055 WDE - Interprofessional Education and Wellness
Students from different professional programs come together to work in a collaborative, student-driven learning environment to explore the benefits and challenges of interprofessional teamwork. Theory and concepts of interprofessional education, collaboration, and communication are examined through various activities within the course as well as through opportunities to engage with other interprofessional groups.

KINE 5370 - Business, Ethics, and Risk Management Issues
Provides conceptual knowledge that has real-world applications in business, ethics, and risk management for the profession of kinesiology. Topics may include the development of marketing and business plans, project management, business financing, and accounting principles. Legal liability, risk management, and fitness and safety standards are discussed from an ethical practitioner approach.
Start Date/Duration: Spring/Summer Session: June 2027 to August 2027
Lecture: Wednesdays 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Qualifications Preferred: A minimum of a Master’s Degree in a related area or equivalent exit level certification is required. Teaching experience in the specific subject area is preferred. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of delivery is highly desired.
Compensation
In accordance with Collective Agreement provisions, Contract Lecturers shall be remunerated at one of the three following levels:
Level 1: $8,355
Level 2: $8,590
Level 3: $9,059
