Master of Health Sciences with Specialization in Indigenous and Northern Health

Specializations in the MPH and MHSc programs include a defined collection of courses taken from specific areas of study that complement the overall degree requirements. Note: The Specialization will be referenced on the transcript.

Applicants must indicate their areas of interest for a thesis when applying to the program.  Admittance to the Thesis option is dependent on faculty availability from among the full-time faculty of the Department of Health Sciences.

Specialization Requirements

All students in the Master of Health Sciences program with Specialization in Indigenous and Northern Health must complete a total of 5 full-course equivalents (FCEs), of which 2.0 FCEs are required courses, 1.0 FCE are elective courses, and the thesis carries a weight of 2.0 FCEs. These are fully described in the Academic Calendar.
