Environmental Catalysis Laboratory
Dr. Rezaei's laboratory provides infrastructure to conduct research on climate change mitigation and air/water pollution control by heterogenous catalysts.
The laboratory includes continuous gas phase and semi-batch liquid phase reactors along with state-of-the-art analytical instruments to develop novel environmental catalysts and to study the catalysts under working conditions.
Dr. Rezaei's research group also investigates low carbon footprint processes for hydrogen production and conversion of CO 2 to value-added chemicals.
Major equipment list:
- Total organic carbon analyzer (Shimadzu, TOC-LCSH/CSN)
- Gas phase mass spectrometer (MKS, Cirrus 3)
- FT-IR system with gas and DRIFTS cells (Thermo Fisher Scientific, IS50)
- Ozone analyzers for liquid (AMT GmbH) and gas phase (Teledyne API-465)
- Low and medium range ozone generators (Ozone Solutions)
- Split tube furnace (ATS Applied Test Systems)
- Mass flow control system (Brooks)
