Joint Senate NOSM Committee - J. Farrell

MOVED that the addition of Laboratory Medicine/Pathology and Diagnostic Imaging/Nuclear Medicine to the Electives Section of the NOSM Calendar-Phase 3 Curriculum Descriptions and the amendment to MEDS 5645 Social and Population Health be approved as presented.

MOVED that upon the recommendation of the Joint Senate Committee for NOSM that, although registered with one University, NOSM students graduate with an M.D. degree conferred by both Lakehead and Laurentian Universities and that the M.D. Degree parchments signify award of an M.D. Degree of Lakehead and Laurentian with both Universities recognized equally on the parchment.

Senate Teaching and Learning Committee Report - B. Stolar

MOVED that Senate accept the recommendations from the Senate Teaching and Learning Committee to approve the revised "Process For Selection For The Contribution To Teaching Awards".

MOVED that Senate accept the recommendations from the Senate Teaching and Learning Committee to approve the revised "Process For Selection For The Distinguished Instructor Award".

Balloting for the final position on the Presidential Search Committee was completed on December 15, 2008. Dr. Alexander Serenko has been appointed.
