Lakehead to host Transfer Preview Day

Whether you are interested in turning your diploma into a degree or completing your degree, Lakehead University in Orillia has many options.  A special “Transfer Preview Day” will take place on Monday, February 29 to give college, university and graduate students an opportunity to learn about their transfer options at Lakehead.

For college students and graduates, Lakehead University offers several ways to turn a college education or diploma into a degree. Through transfer agreements between the University and colleges, students can easily complete a degree in as little as one or two years. Programs are offered in Arts & Science, Business, Education, and Social Work.

For university students interested in transferring and completing a degree at Lakehead, the Transfer Preview Day provides the opportunity to speak with faculty and staff about credit and transfer options in programs such as English, Political Science, History, Psychology, and much more.

Lakehead Orillia’s Transfer Preview Day takes place on Monday, February 29 from 10 am to 1:30 pm at 500 University Avenue. In addition to finding out about programs requirements, transfer credits and how to apply, there will also be opportunities to tour the campus and meet with faculty and current students. Lakehead Transfer Preview Day
Carly Chantler of Parry Sound took advantage of transfer opportunities after she graduated from Georgian College’s Environmental Technology program. She enrolled in Lakehead’s Environmental Sustainability program, receiving credit for her college program, and graduated in June 2015 with her degree and the Dean’s Award for highest standing in the program. Lakehead Orillia is hosting a Transfer Preview Day on February 29.
