The Office of Human of Rights and Equity is collaborating with Thunder Bay Police and the Sexual Abuse Centre.
Guest speakers will discuss the supports and services available in Thunder Bay for students who have experienced sexual violence. This session will make you aware of the procedural differences of the investigation of sexual violence between Thunder Bay Police and the Office of Human Rights and Equity.

John Paul Kleiner from the DAAD Toronto office will present current opportunities for scholarships, internships and research grants for travel to and collaboration with German institutions. This workshop, held on German Unity Day, is aimed at both faculty and students.
As you start your research career at Lakehead University, it’s important to know that you are not alone. In this session, you will learn strategies from experienced faculty members about how to get your program of research started.
You will learn about the expectations of Promotion, Tenure, and Renewal and how to cultivate a peer support system and reach out to peer mentors. Finally, you will develop strategies to balance the demands of teaching, research, and service.
