Are you interested in becoming a cyber security professional? The Government of Ontario’s Cyber Security Division is partnering with the University of Toronto to bring you Securing our Future: Bridging the Cyber Security Talent Gap. This free event is open to any post-secondary student in Ontario and you do not need prior cyber security knowledge to attend.

Join us in-person or virtually on September 28th at 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm to hear from cyber security experts from different backgrounds. Learn how you can enter the industry with technical and non-technical skills. Ask any questions you have about co-op opportunities, career advice, working in cyber security and networking.

Global Climate Strike: Sign-Making and Walk to Event Together

Join the Office of Sustainability as we make signs and walk over together to the disco-themed Global Climate Strike at MP Patty Hadju's Office at 705 Red River Road.

Drop into the Office of Sustainability between 10:30 and 11 am for sign-making (bring cardboard or posterboard if you have any). We will depart at 11:20 to walk over together to the climate strike. Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather!

This workshop can be beneficial to all Lakehead University students regardless of academic discipline, in recognition of the university’s Indigenous Content Requirement (ICR). It will also be of great benefit to those majoring in Indigenous curriculum.
