The Lakehead University Vocal Ensemble, Dulcisono Women's Choir and the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra will perform Benjamin Britten's cantata Saint Nicolas.

This performance will feature Albert Greer, tenor, Dean Jobin-Bevans and Laurel Oger, conductors.

The Department of Philosophy invites you to attend the presentation by Dr. J. Han and Dr. R. Maundrell. Discussion follows.

Drop in anytime on Tuesday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to bead. Aboriginal Cultural and Support Services have brought in traditional artisan Ella Gagnon from Aroland First Nation to help students and staff bead a small projects!

If you don't know how to bead, don't worry, Ella will teach you! Everyone is welcome! Free event and all materials will be supplied.

Lakehead University's recently established Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Mining and Exploration (CESME) is holding a conference, "The Role of Government Policy in Sustainable Mining Development", December 5-6, 2013, at Lakehead University (University Centre 1017).

A range of speakers from across Canada, including First Nations, government, industry and non-governmental organizations, will explore public policy that promotes sustainable mining development. Conference participants will discuss policy recommendations to inform future policy development in mining in northern Ontario, particularly the Ring of Fire.
