Other: CIHR Institute Summer Programs – Travel Awards 2027

The CIHR Institute Summer Programs 2027 are intensive 5-day capacity-building programs that aim to provide graduate and post-graduate trainees with advanced training that crosses disciplines, offers networking opportunities, and disseminates best practices in research. Each program brings together up to 40 research trainees and numerous academic mentors to participate in interactive learning sessions over the course of one week.

Note that each of the participating Institutes has their own relevant 2027 topic area, dates, locations, and other specific requirements, which are outlined in the Sponsor Description section of this funding opportunity.

All trainees who wish to attend a 2027 CIHR Institute Summer Program must apply through this funding opportunity. Trainees are required to attend all program sessions and networking events, with some events occurring in the evening and/or early morning. A timetable will be provided to participants upon acceptance and prior to the training program.
