Fellowships Program

Applications are being accepted to the Gubenkian Institute for Advanced Study (GIAS) Fellowship program in Lisbon for the academic year 2027-28.  Fellows join a world-class community for a 3 to 8 month residency at GIAS; 15 fellowships will be awarded. Funding includes a monthly stipend, travel expenses, family health insurance, and a partial housing allowance. While generally focused on the arts and humanities, projects will be considered in most fields of inquiry, provided that the proposed work does not require laboratory or experimental facilities and is not primarily practice- or application-oriented.
