Mitacs Globalink Research Internship (GRI)

The call is now open for internship proposals to the Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Program, for Summer 2026.   The submission deadline is 05 June 2025 at 4:00pm ET.

Please consider applying if you would like to host one or more top-ranked undergraduate students from Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Mexico, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Tunisia, Ukraine, United Kingdom or the United States, who compete for 12-week research internships at Canadian universities.

Please note that this is a competitive process, where Mitacs screens applicants for eligibility and matches students with host professors based on mutual interest.  While you will have the opportunity to interview interested candidates and indicate your preferences, Mitacs makes the final selections. It is possible that some applicants may not be matched with an intern, based on available funding and student interest.

Phase I - submission of internship proposals by eligible Canadian researchers (OPEN)

Phase 2 - student applications - will open late July/early August.

Applications are submitted online through the GRI portal.  Attached is a template with the key proposal sections to guide proposal development offline.
