Call for Nominations for the 2024 CIHR-ICRH/CCS Distinguished Lecturer Award in Cardiovascular Sciences

How to Apply: 

The CIHR Institute of Circulatory and Respiratory Health (CIHR-ICRH) and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) have partnered on an annual Distinguished Lecturer Award in Cardiovascular Sciences in recognition of an individual's outstanding contribution to the advancement of cardiovascular sciences both in Canada and internationally. The award will be presented to the selected candidate at the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress (CCC) October 24-27th in Vancouver BC, where the recipient will be invited to participate in a session as a part of the scientific program. CCC is the largest gathering of cardiovascular and allied health professionals in Canada.

The selected candidate will be an outstanding scientist who has conducted the majority of their research in Canada and contributed significantly to the advancement of cardiovascular sciences. The individual may have conducted work in any one of a number of cardiovascular disciplines and within any of the four CIHR research theme areas: biomedical; clinical; health systems and services; or, social, cultural, environmental and population health. The nominated candidate's research should also be in a field of interest to the CIHR-ICRH, CCS, and attendees of the CCC.
