Women's Studies mourns the passing of Margaret Phillips, Honorary Doctor of Letters, former member fo the Women's Studies Advisory Board, strong local advocate for Women's Studies and women's rights, and owner of the Northern Women's Bookstore.

Members of the Department of Women's Studies miss and remember their dear friend and colleague Dr. Peggy Tripp, who passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Peggy made a huge contribution to both the creation and on-going development of the Women's Studies Program at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. She was very highly regarded by her Women's Studies students. We will all miss her compassion and wry wit.
