Objectives
The academic objectives of the Department of Political Science include the provision of a program of study in Political Science that prepares students for a variety of types of employment and participation in the public, private and voluntary sectors. More specifically, our Department offers instruction in every major sub-field within the discipline of Political Science, including Political Theory, Canadian and Comparative Politics, International Relations, pre-Law and Public Policy and Public Administration. We believe that this mission mirrors that of the University to provide a comprehensive and student-centered learning environment by engaging students in the critical evaluation of their society and its institutions, and by preparing them with the skills for life-long learning
