Off-Campus Housing Workshop

If you're considering living off campus, in the spring or next fall, now is the time to start your search. But before you do, we strongly encourage you to learn about your rights and responsibilities, and take some advice from the experts on where to look and what to ask before you sign a lease! Finding the right place to live is important for your wellbeing and we want you to have the knowledge and expertise to make a good decision.

We are offering Off-Campus Housing Workshops on 3 upcoming dates. These sessions are hosted by Lakehead University International, Lakehead University Community Legal Services, and LUSU. All LU students are welcome to join. Topics to be covered include:

• Legal Aspects (including residential tenancy agreements, rights, and obligations

• Searching for Housing and Roommates

• Budgeting for Various Housing Situations

• Navigating Roommate Conflicts

• Timeline for House Searching
