We will be screening "The Loving Story", a 2011 documentary film about Richard and Mildred Loving. Set during the turbulent Civil Rights era, the film is about both a racially-charged criminal trial and a heart-rending love story. 

Orientation is your introduction to the Lakehead University campus and the community of Thunder Bay.  It is an essential element for new international students and it is required that you make every possible arrangement to attend. It is not only an opportunity to find out important information and learn what your new University has to offer, but it is also a chance to meet your peers and have some fun.

All newly arriving International students beginning in the January 2018 term, are required to attend a mandatory International Orientation. Orientation will be held on Friday January 5th, 9am-3pm at the Avila Centre Gymnasium.

International Orientation will provide you with very important information as you begin your journey here at that Lakehead, and it's a great chance to meet new friends as well as the International Centre staff and LU campus staff.

Please note: the University is closed for our holiday break between December 23- January 1st. You must plan your arrival for either January 2, 3 or 4th. It is a very small time frame so please plan your arrival accordingly.
