		MOVED that the Senate Undergraduate Studies Committee Report be accepted.

	5.2	Senate Academic Committee Report (Dr. Douglas Ivison)

		5.2.1	MOVED that the implementation of a two (2) year pilot, of a four (4) day fall study break following the Thanksgiving holiday be accepted.

		5.2.2	MOVED that the revised academic schedule of dates for 2016-2017 and the proposed academic schedule of dates for 2017-2018 be accepted.

		5.2.3	MOVED that the Senate Academic Committee Report be accepted.

	5.3	Faculty of Graduate Studies Council Report (Dr. Christine Gottardo)

		5.3.1	MOVED that the Cotutelle Policy be approved.

		5.3.2	MOVED that the proposed revisions to the Faculty of Graduate Studies Council Terms of Reference be referred to the Senate Organization Committee.

		5.3.3	MOVED that the Faculty of Graduate Studies Council Report be accepted.

	5.4	Senate Organization Committee Report (Dr. Mark Gallagher)

		5.4.1	MOVED to approve the revisions to Senate Standing Committee Terms of Reference where required, to reflect the attached changes to University personnel titles and office names.

		5.4.2	MOVED that the Senate Organization Committee Report be accepted.

	5.5	Senate Nominations Committee Report (Dr. Qing-Lai Dang)

		5.5.1		MOVED that Dr. Frederico Oliveira be appointed to the Senate Library Committee to fill the current faculty member vacancy with the term commencing immediately to 2018.

		5.5.2		MOVED that the Senate Nominations Committee Report be accepted.

	5.6	Senate Research Committee Report (Dr. Elaine Wiersma)

		MOVED that the Senate Research Committee Report be accepted.

	5.7	Senate Teaching and Learning Committee Report (Dr. Christopher Murray)

		MOVED that the Senate Teaching and Learning Committee Report be accepted.

	5.8	Senate Executive Committee Recommendation

		5.8.1		MOVED that the revised Senate Organization Committee Terms of Reference be approved.

		5.8.2		MOVED that the proposed revisions to the Senate Executive Committee Terms of Reference be referred to the Senate Organization Committee.

6.		Approval of Adjunct Professors

	6.1	MOVED that the following Adjunct Professors for the Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences be approved:

		Dr. Guangdong Yang, be appointed as an External Adjunct Professor to the School of Kinesiology for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. Dr. Kristin Burnett, be appointed as an Internal Adjunct Professor to the Department of Health Sciences for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019.

	6.2	MOVED that the following Adjunct Professor for the Faculty of Business be approved:

		Dr. Patricia Meredith, be appointed as an External Adjunct Professor to the Faculty of Business Administration for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019.

	6.3	MOVED that the following Adjunct Professor for the Faculty of Education be approved:

		Dr. Brian Ross, be appointed as an Internal Adjunct Professor to the Faculty of Education for the term January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2019.

	6.4	MOVED that the following Adjunct Professor for the Faculty of Natural Resources Management be approved:

		Dr. William Wilson, be appointed as an Internal Adjunct Professor to the Faculty of Natural Resources Management for the term November 1, 2015 to October 31, 2019.

7.	Lakehead University Student Union (LUSU) Recommendation (Mr. Matt Quick)

		MOVED that Ms. Jessica Tiboni be appointed as a student member on Senate effective immediately to June 30, 2016.

9.		Adjunct Professor Renewals (Information Only)

		Faculty of Natural Resources Management

		Dr. Preston McEachern’s appointment as an External Adjunct Professor to the Faculty of Natural Resources Management has been renewed for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019.

		Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences

		Dr. Jane Lawrence Dewar’s appointment as an External Adjunct Professor to the School of Kinesiology has been renewed for the term July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2020. Ms. Tracey Larocque’s appointment as an External Adjunct Professor to the School of Kinesiology has been renewed for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019. Dr. Jim McAuliffe’s appointment as an External Adjunct Professor to the School of Kinesiology has been renewed for the term July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019.

10.		Senate Appointment

		Ogimaawin-Aboriginal Governance Council Member on Senate – Dr. Peggy Smith was appointed for the term commencing November 16, 2015 to November 15, 2016.
