This workshop will introduce you to the OMNI search system, which enables you to find the books, articles, documentaries, and other resources which you need for your essays and assignments.

After attending this workshop, you will be able to use OMNI to:

find books on your topic and request books from other Ontario universities
find peer-reviewed scholarly articles
follow "citation trails"
request that a small section of a print item be scanned and emailed to you
create lists of favourite items

Looking to get certified in First Aid and CPR? St. John Ambulance is offering a Standard First Aid, CPR Level C course through a flexible blended learning model – complete part of the course online at your own pace, and the rest in person at Lakehead University in Orillia.

What’s Included:

  • Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
  • 3-year certification
  • Meets workplace requirements and OH&S standards
  • Includes injury prevention, CPR, and AED training

Course Format:

  • Blended learning: 6-7 hours online at your own pace
  • In-person session: 7.5 hours on campus
  • The online module must be completed BEFORE attending the in-person session
